| Memorial Update The Memorial stone is in the works at Tisch Monuments and will be ready & installed for the unveiling at the reunion Thus far we have received over $2,000 in donations for the memorial. The total cost for the memorial will be approx. $1,800. The recent cost increase is due to the overall size being increased from 4'x3' to 6'x3' in order to accomodate the necessary info to be etched into the stone. Extra funds will be utilized for landscaping and general upkeep around the memorial in the coming year. The Reunion Committee met on 5/17/08 and everything in coming together for the Memorial. We met with Tisch Monuments on 5/17 and final format and wording was provided and work will begin shortly. As noted earlier the dedication will occur at 2:00 PM on September 20, 2008. At that time the memorial will be unveiled. Along with the drum line putting on a performance at the dedication, there will be a horn rendition of "What Kind of Fool Am I" by 3 former horn players. Please see Page 1 of Corps Photos for information on where you can send your donations as well as the actual location on where the memorial will be placed. Any amount you can spare is welcome. | The final meeting of the Reunion Committee was held on Saturday, August 23rd and all plans are in place to ensure we have what promises to be a great time for all. Please don't miss this wonderful event and participate in the unveiling of the memorial to OUR corps. The dedication of the memorial will begin at 2:00 PM. Food will ready at Noon and be available throughout the day. |
